Glenwood Vigneron’s Selection Chardonnay 2020

Grapes were picked at 22.3°B and whole-bunch pressed to 1.4 bars of pressure. The juice was left to settle for two days and racked to barrel. Using 100% wild yeast, fermentation occurred over a 10 day period. The wine spent 12 months on the lees in 50% new French oak and 50% second fill barrels.

Light straw in colour. Marmelade and blue orange on the nose. Elegant and rich palate with citrus notes and orange peel following from the nose. Creamy and mouthfilling on the full finish with notes of vanilla. Drink through 2026. Excels with seafood, white roast and spicy dishes.

Vintage A better wine grape crop than the previous 2 years. Grapes were harvested earlier than usual due to a warm spring that contributed to rapid vineyard development.
Analysis Alcohol 13.5%; Total Acidity 5.3 g/l; Residual Sugar 3.2 g/l; pH 3.58
